lovers say that pets make better friends than people. Pet intelligence
enables the animal to be completely honest and guileless, hence more
trustworthy than their human counterparts. Animals love unconditionally, a
great spiritual teaching for the people who have the responsibility and
privilege of caring for them. If one treats an animal respectfully, that
person is much more likely to treat people well. The
“6th house” of the astrological birth chart indicates the native’s
connection with small animals; the “12th house” governs large animals
– signs and planets there show pet preferences. ARIES
or Mars loves an enthusiastic, spontaneous and playful pet – usually
dogs or other bright creatures, such as monkeys and other loud
communicators. TAURUS
or Venus is tactile, and wants to pet a warm, soft, furry kitty, whose
purring is the most beautiful music in the world. Colors may be part of
pet choice. GEMINI
or Mercury likes pairs of pets, like twin lovebirds or parrots who imitate
human languages. CANCER
or the moon wants emotional bonding with its pets. It’s also inclined to
breed them. LEO
or the sun wants a larger-than-life domestic pet, not just a Great Dane,
but a lion or some other showy atypical pet. VIRGO
wants a clean, calm, orderly, intelligent pet. It enjoys serving the needs
of the pet with great consideration, especially responsible about the
animal’s medical requirements. LIBRA
wants a beautiful animal, well-behaved, well-groomed, quiet and
unobtrusive. Often it will “show” its pets at competitions. SCORPIO
or Pluto appreciates reptiles, especially snakes, whose stealthiness and
mystery are fascinating. SAGITTARIUS
or Jupiter, being 1/2 human, 1/2 horse loves the equine world. They share
a wonderful telepathic bond. CAPRICORN
or Saturn likes older animals who are sedate, often with a proven
blood-line or prestigious pedigree. AQUARIUS
or Uranus wants unusual exotic pets, often birds. It may have a menagerie
of diverse animals, rarely just one. In fact, in England there is
reputedly a law that pet owners must have at least 2 of a species or it is
considered animal cruelty. PISCES
or Neptune: Whether it’s a magnificent steed or an elephant, the psychic
attunement to the animal’s perspective doesn’t reduce the pet to being
