Love is what we are; it isn’t a needy co-dependency, sexual desire, ego-validation, financial or immigration strategy. But to most people, love is external, to be given and received like a Valentine’s Day card. A complete astrological birth chart should indicate at least 18 potentials for different kinds of love relationships.

ARIES is passionate, charismatic, thrilled at new beginnings, allowing the beloved much freedom, and ideally co-creative, or else easily bored.

TAURUS also is passionate, but with long-term endurance as long as the mate proves trustworthy. Beauty and financial solvency may be part of superficial choices, but deeper values shared will fulfill more.

GEMINI appreciates intelligence, mental stimulation, and dialogue in its relationships, not all of which are emotionally involved. It loves to share continual learning.

CANCER is emotionally connected, caring, loyal, especially with family relationships. If not co-dependent, they are the most sensitive, supportive friends and lovers.

LEO is both passionate and loyal, loving to love and be loved. Generous, benevolent, it thrives on celebrating its relationships, taking nothing for granted as long as ego is not in the way.

VIRGO expresses love through service. Happy to clean up the yard
and cook nutritious meals after a long day of work, this is how they say, “I love you.” Its love of animals is equal to human love.

LIBRA loves being and doing anything as long as it is with the beloved – it enjoys creating harmony together rather than a mere melody alone. Equality is the best foundation.

SCORPIO is deeply passionate, sometimes scaring itself or others with its need for intimacy. Desire should not be confused with love. Psychic bonds are strong in close connections.

SAGITTARIUS loves God before any worldly love. Its human relationships thrive when shared in a spiritual context.

CAPRICORN often takes responsibility for the beloved, when they should take responsibility for themselves. It cares for children and elders unselfishly. Often its worldly ambitions exist to provide for others.

AQUARIUS loves unselfish causes and unselfish people, and is often attracted to cultures other than its own. Its high progressive ideals draw it to principled people of honor, dedicated to humanitarian goals.

PISCES is the compassionate savior, uplifting the underdog, rescuing seemingly helpless victims who may either be genuinely grateful or take advantage of Pisces’ kind heart. It requires an equally sensitive ethereal companion whose feet are grounded.
